I won't be around for a while...

It seems our computer at home has come down with a nasty ass virus. Everytime we try to get rid of it by running a program to do that, it comes back and rewrites itself and makes things worse than before. At this point, we have zero access to the internet. It also has completely taken out every possible help option on our pc. All programs, Norton Anti-Virus, Spyware progams, nothing works anymore. We can turn it on and look at the pretty desktop pic. All options in the Start Menu are gone. All buttons down in our blue bar at the bottom are gone. All that is left is the damn Red Round Dot with the Exclamation Point by the clock telling us we have been infected and to "Click Here". BITE ME! That in itself is the fucking virus. We never did fall for that and click on it. We aren't stupid. Even in Safe Mode, we have nothing. It appears we will have to wipe the slate clean and start over. I'm pissed as I hadn't finished up burning my wedding pics people sent me to CD. Hopefully they can resend them once we get this mess fixed. I will check in tomorrow from work, but probably not often. Everyone have a great weekend.

Update: After doing some research online, we have what is called PSGuard. If you have never heard of it, I highly recommend doing your research and arming yourself against it before it takes over your computer. Our spyware programs we run and our anti-virus did not detect it. Apparently that is how this one works. So if your pc is running slow or acting even a little strange, do something now before it cuts you off from the internet like it did us. We can't download the one program that can help us get rid of it. It will have to be us doing manual deletion (uh, hello! we know nothing about that) or paying someone to come and do it for us.
