Got the computer back up and going...only our internet connection on that computer has been intermittent. On our old one, it's been fine. But last nite I think I figured out why our connection is messed up...has to do with that video hardware we installed right after all this happened. Since we did the whole recovery option thing (twice! LOL) it now thinks this hardware is our connection. Or something like that. So i'm having the hubby uninstall that software and take out the hardware from the pc and then hopefully we can get online and get Windows refitted with SP2 and other updates and then we can re-add that hardware later on down the road. Cross your fingers. :-) Otherwise, everything works great! And we lost nothing. Yea!!
#28 was right in a comment below to me - "most geekboys" suck...shit, I'm the one fixing this darn thing! LOL...I want my $200 back! :-)

Hey, glad to hear your computer is coming back to life!! That rocks. I wonder what happened to it?!
Mine's been acting funny, just taking it's own sweet time in opening programs and that sort of thing. Of course, I am at the mercy of the geeks because I have no knowledge or expertise in that area whatsoever. :::sigh:::

hey Anna - do you run spyware on yours to make sure you dont pick up nasty's from the internet??? when your computer startes running slow, etc, it means we have spyware, viruses, etc on them...run your programs and get all that crap out of there now!! also, i downloaded a RegistryFix program that fixes our registry...now our pc starts and shuts down much faster...like when it was new! hehe...
