So, everyone is asking for a new post. sigh...i've had a rough couple of weeks. Well, ok, maybe just this week. Last week, our boss at work left. I guess it was a mutual thing. The firm didn't want him and he didn't want the firm. LOL...it was a shock to most of us in my dept. However, I guess the past few weeks, "they" had already been looking for a replacement. This past Monday, we got to meet him. I thought we were going to meet another prospect as well. Guess not. That was the one they liked the best. My dept. met with him for 30 min. He's a nice man. Hopefully better than the last. I had no problems with my last boss, mind you. In my position, I rarely have to deal with the controller. The last one was all talk and no action. Very unorganized and he and the firm didn't see eye to eye on several issues. Or so I've heard. The new guy seems like perhaps he'd be a better fit. One can hope. He starts mid~Nov. The same week I'm on vacation. LOL...
Speaking of vacation....I haven't had any time off since my wedding. So by the time I go, it will be 4.5 months with no time off. I'm totally ready for another break from this place. We are going for 3 nights, 4 days down to Carmel/Monterey Bay area. I have never been to the aquarium down there and I've heard it's one of the best to visit. Rhett has been there once (with his ex-fiance before me). I found us a place online in Carmel that is by the ocean on some wooded grounds. We will be staying in a little romantic cottage. I can't wait! I have always wanted to travel along the California coast and I'm finally getting my chance!
This past Sunday we watched the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun". Good movie! Rhett has always wanted to go there, so he now says we are going to buy us some 1~way tickets and buy a villa and live there! LOL...I want to know where in the hell he plans on getting his hands on all this money! hehehe....
The past couple days have been bad emotional days for me and I have eaten myself into oblivion. I was emailing with Honey4ever today and we have decided to get back on track and we are going to email each other every day with what we are eating to stay accountable. I'm also getting sick and tired of NS food...so...starting tonite I made some of Christina's recipes again and I'm going to start making up weekly menu's on Sunday's and getting my act together and planning out my week for food. I plan on using Christina's and Amy's recipes and trying it their way for a time to see if getting off "the box" will make a difference. Also stepping up the exercise and getting myself on a regular routine.
Everyone have an awesome weekend!!! And I will be praying for those in Wilma's way....

Hey Jan,
Glad You are getting back on track. The vacation you are planning sounds like Heaven on earth. I hope you and hubby have a great time. Bob and Tressa and I are discussing a new challenge on my blog. Bob thinks we could call it the NS Blog Challenge. what do you think? It would go through Dec. 31. for your final weigh in. maybe it would help you keep on track. I know the last one helped me. Just knowing I had to come on and tell everyone how I did for the week. With the Holidays coming up. I need all the help I can get.
Let me know what you think
Hey Jan, I just by chance came by to see if you updated. WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!! U have. :oD LOL Good for you on getting back ontrack. You are worth it. Look at all the weight you have lost so far. Girl!!!, get back up, Dust yourself off and Keep going. Try to find that new twist on the food and still be legal. Great idea of setting yout each days in advance. I think I may try that. I sometimes have a hard time eating everything. Maybe if I knew what I was going to eat I would be better.
Well, glad to see u back on your wagon (box) and doing what you need to do to be a better you.
Love In Christ,
Sherri G
Hey there, Janny! Good to hear from you again. That vacation sounds wonderful. I am sure you two will have a great time.
As for the eating...well dear, I think accountability is a great motivator. I look forward to hearing about the good decision you will be making and the results that will follow.
Now keep those prayers coming. Looks like we could be in for a rough beginning of next week here in South FLA.
I'm glad you're getting to go on vacation! I hope you have a wonderful time. As far as that movie- Under the Tuscan Sun- LOVED it! Such a great story- and so true.
I can totally relate when I'm not feeling so good- I'm like a bottomless pit. Especially PMS times, I sit in front of the t.v. watching a bunch of sappy Lifetime movies eating everything and anything. I'm trying to eat better, but sometimes it's hard. I'm with ya on that one!
Hope you're doing fantanstic! Keep that beautiful face of yours smiling!
Jan~~ I was just stopping by to tell you I wanted a new post from you and lo and behold!! I have been to Carmel and it is one of my very favorite places...I know you will have a great romantic time!! I am all for moving to a little Italian villa and living the way Diane Lane did!! Maybe Rhett is going to design a bunch of male purses and get rich off of them and buy you some villa uner the Tuscan sun...*sigh* can I come visit?? Hope you like your new boss...that isn't the same position that helped you with the blog is it?? make him a welcome basket with some 'rocks' in it! hehehehehe
I have SUCKED big time trying to stay on a diet since we moved...I am ready for the challenge and more than ready to get back on track. Have a great weekend...isn't tonight your favorite TV night!!!

Hey there, Jan ... glad to see you're back with more than just wedding pics. Although you did mention the word "wedding" in this post.
Vacation sounds good. I'm ready for mine, as well. And work sucks. Period.
You joinin' the new challenge?
Geez, FINALLY!
I'm trying to get back on track, as well. I think you and I are about the slowest losers! (sorry) I mean how many people are on NS for almost a year and only lose like 20 lbs? You've actually lost more but it's time for us BOTH to get off our duffs!
Cyg
Hey lady - good to hear from you.
Just checkin' in - joined the challenge & think it will be good for my accountability - how about you?
