Scarlett, Don't know why I haven't stopped by before since you were nice enough to pay me a visit. I will also stop over and check out Jamie's blog. I just noticed your post on the loss, sorry to hear that. I am glad though that the mole was benign. Been there and understand what a relief that can be.
Jan - about your template. It is as easy as finding one you like, and then copying the code into your template window.
Before you do that, save a copy of your current one so you don't lose all your 'Blog Buddies' lists and other custom stuff, because that will need to be copied into your new look.
I found mine at the link on my site (same as Tressa's & now Emily's.) If you come across one you like, I can try to walk you through it.

Jan!! Just wanted to say hi and that I have been thinking about you. Hope all is going well. I want a new template too...I am sick of my ORANGE one. Thought of a contest we could have...we all take a picture of our front door and we can guess whose it is...if we do it, I will provide the prize. Maybe something to do after Valentine's Day...after we get our summer wreaths on the door......
press ctrl + a (selects all of your CURRENT template), then right click paste into Notebook or Word and save your current template (for back up & if you want to go back to it - you do not need to make a new blog or address up) You can now ctrl + a and delete your template in blogger. When you d/l (download) the NEW template (from wherever you choose like layoutstudios.com, you will press ctrl + a right click copy & then right click paste it into where you're old template was (you can preview you have this right before saving... you can always edit the new template like you did the old) Good luck!
