A Sigh of Relief....

My dermatologist just called a little while ago to tell me that my mole lab results were in.

BENIGN!!!

Thank you God.

And I don't need to go back so he can take the rest out. He said he pretty much got the whole thing last week and doesn't need to do anything more. I just need to keep putting the ointment and bandaids on it for the next week or so and then let it heal in fresh air and dry out.

I started crying after I hung up with him. I'm just soooo relieved.

One down, one to go.

*I just found out that Rob's grandma past away on Tuesday morning. Rob was her first grandchild born. I'm sooo glad that she was able to come to our wedding this past June and that we had a great pic taken with her. Ours was the last family wedding she was able to make it too. She said to me that day: "I'm sooo happy to tell you that you are the 2nd Mrs. Robert Charles O'Hara." (Rob was named after his grandpa).

Hey! This is great news---I had a breast cancer scare last year that left me paralyzed when I was waiting for 'the news' from the doctor. They left me waiting a full week for the results, and on top of that, I had to go into their office to find out.

I'm also very sorry about your loss. Keep the precious memories alive. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

hey jan- speaking of which... my dad had 2 growths "skin tags" removed from his eyelid (both at different times). The first came back benign but just yesterday the other came back pre-cancerous!! he also has another spot on his nose he is going for next- which were pretty sure will be cancerous (his mother had this too- skin cancer as they've had too much sun exposure!) so, i guess it could be worse, chemo and such if spread... but i think with skin cancer you can just use a cream??! eep! how weird right since you brought this up! i glad everything is okay with you as far as that goes... when the hell do you hear back from the other one? i'm praying for you girl!
