Photo~Op

Last Sunday we went for a drive down to the park behind the Capital so I could play with the new camera and see how well it did. I even conned Rhett into posing for me! hehehe...

I printed out some of these to see how well they would look and there's no way you can tell they were taken with a digital camera! Wow! We are sooooo impressed! Now that I know how well it does, I can start taking portraits again of my friends! I miss taking pics of people. I forgot at first how to pose guys (girls are sooo much easier!), but I finally started getting the hang of it. LOL...poor Rhett was getting frustrated with me and I said "How come you didn't have a problem with our wedding photographer? You didn't give her this much attitude!" to which he replies: "She gave me direction!" LOL..."I AM GIVING YOU DIRECTION!" it was fun....hehehe

I'm hoping to do some couple shots this weekend of my sister and her new boyfriend.

This last one and the one of him on the Capitol steps are my fav.
On another note, I may be getting 2 cats! I'm very excited. A sec't at work is moving here closer to work and has 6 cats and is looking at "downsizing" to 2. So she wants to find homes for 4 of them. I may take the sisters ~ Maggie & Molly. Both indoor only and they don't shed. Also they are 5 yrs old and very mellow. I'm playing the whole "I'm having surgery and they will help me thru recovery" card. LOLOL...Rob is going to double~check once again with our landlords (his parents) if it is ok and then it will all be set! His dad hates cats tho, but has said in the past we could have one. Rob isn't keen on 2, but they are sisters and when we are gone thru the day at work or on vacations, at least they will have each other for company and not be lonely. One is a calico color and the other black.

Wow Jan! You are quite the photographer. Congrats on the possibility of getting kitties. They might just help you with your recovery. Animals are known to have some real healing effects. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I love those pics! They came out great! And those shot of your hubby are so cute! Yay on getting the kitties! I'll tell you, getting the two will be the best thing for you and them. Hannah is an "only child" (hee!) and she's up my ass all the time. I love her and I love that she's attached to me, but I know if we had another dog, she would have someone to play, cuddle, sleep with all the time! She waits outside the shower to get in most mornings - she even wants to shower with me! So anyway, don't split the sisters up and do yourself a big favor!!

You have flowers like that in real life - out there today? I am so jealous. They all look great and I am considering moving to CA!

Adoption is awesome, we had to give up the kitties I brought home about 5 years ago because 6 months after they arrived here I realized I was allergic and could not keep them. It my heart I know they have found new homes.

Those pics are great, Jan. But the one that caught my eye was the one with Rob sitting on the ledge...dude has a HUGE bulge in his pants. Now we know why you married him. Rock on, Jan! ;)

P.S. Don't tell me it's his "jeans" that are making it look that way.

LOLOL...ok, Tina. You're right, it's not his jeans. ;-)

Besides, I tell him ALL THE TIME that's why I married him. LOL

ps..he says thanks! ;-)
